How to Help

Donations – A vital part of our Success!

Middle Tennessee Treasures (MTT) is a 501© (3), non-profit organization.  We are a small rescue located in the middle Tennessee area that seeks to rescue as many homeless, abandoned or abused dogs and cats as possible.  We solely depend on the generosity of your monetary donations to allow us to continue with our mission.  Your tax deductible donation goes directly to the rescue to help us provide our animals with the following and more:

  • Full Veterinary Care
  • Food and Shelter
  • Spay/Neuter Assistance
  • Temporary boarding of dogs up for adoption (if necessary)
  • Professional temperament and training evaluation (in special circumstances)

Monetary donations are crucial, however we occasionally need: dog toys, collars, gas cards for transport, dog gates and Tractor Supply or Petco gift cards..  Donate today!

Fostering – Donate a place in your home

Fostering a pet is not only a rewarding experience, but it’s a great way to help out our rescue from the comfort of your own home.

Since we are a foster based rescue organization, we are always looking for wonderful foster homes.  Foster families assist us in training our dogs and helping them overcome any fears or stresses they may have.  This gives them a chance to experience being treated as a “part of your family” while they wait for a forever home of their own.  What a great way to get them out of the shelters and into the loving environments they so desperately deserve.  Foster homes are a very important factor to the success of our rescue so please consider; Becoming a Foster today!

Other Ways You Can Make a Difference

Spay or Neuter your animals. There are several low cost clinics in the area and we can help guide you.

Get involved – Volunteer your time at local Shelters and Humane Associations.

Be kind to your animals & treat them with respect.  We might live in the south but it does get cold in the winter and very hot in the summer. Make sure they have what they need as the seasons change. Treat them as you would want to be treated.

Make sure your dog has a collar with an id or a Microchip in the event your dog goes missing.  Ask us about our  low cost micro-chipping.

Take Action and Speak up for those who can’t.  If you see mistreatment of any animal (dog, cat, horse) call your local authorities or let us know and we would be happy to step in.

Compassion without Action means nothing.
